An utterly lovely 1920’s spring/summer occasion dress in wearable condition! Striking floral print is in a palette of blush, mint green, bright pink, crimson and French blues. ‘V’ shaped insets on front and back of body are in a coordinating blush chiffon, which also lines the floral fabric. Waist seam is set off with a line of shirring that extends down to a border done in navy blue thread that creates a kind of drop waist, which is accented with a dimensional bow in the same floral chiffon on f/l. Another bow, with long tails, drapes elegantly over right shoulder. It’s made of the floral chiffon and the blush chiffon together. Dress closes with a series of hook and eyes that runs down left seam, from underarm to drop waist. Silky rayon (?) powder pink slip has a simple straight neckline and narrow straps. It closes on left side with a series of snaps. This piece is in very good condition, and is definitely wearable. There are some minor pulls in floral chiffon of bodice, along with two clusters of small holes underneath waist seam on right and left of front side. Also minor abrasions on right underarm. There’s also a tear in floral chiffon on top of left shoulder, which isn’t very noticeable due to the lining. Slip had some shmutz and clear stains on neckline, along with some stubborn wrinkles, none of which is noticeable when it’s worn under dress).
